Ellen combines her expertise in astrology and tarot with a solid business background to give grounded, practical guidance to help people handle their challenges and most effectively time their actions.
Her introduction to astrology and tarot began at age 14 when she discovered Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs in the local public library. She discovered that she could use its techniques to glean accurate insights. People around her were amazed to learn how the symbols could relate to their particular circumstances.
She continued her studies in New York City and became active in the mainstream astrological community. While living in New York, she also discovered Tarot.
She has attended the Tarot School’s Readers Studio and is a member of mainstream astrology and Tarot organizations including the National Council for Geocosmic Research, International Society for Astrological Research, The Association for Astrological Networking, Organization for Professional Astrology and the American Tarot Association. She has been interviewed on radio and spoken to groups and hosts a popular monthly teleseminar.
Ellen holds a certificate in Professional Coaching from Community College of Philadelphia and a CAP, Certified Astrological Professional designation from ISAR.
Ellen holds a social science degree from Hofstra University, Long Island, New York. Upon graduation she moved directly to the business world. As a young job seeker, she found herself working in an arcane area of finance — the reinsurance industry.
After 18 years of success and steady promotions in the corporate world, Ellen redirected her business skills towards entrepreneurship. Her party entertainment business, Faces & Fortunes, provided Ellen with a platform to share Tarot and astrology with the public in social settings.
Ellen’s approach to working with her clients, whether on a one-to-one basis, a classroom, or a social setting is to help them take charge of their lives so that they can create rich and fulfilling lives.
“I use tarot and astrology,” she says, “but I like to think of myself more as a guide to help people read their own inner wisdom — more like an intuition coach.”
Ellen lives with her cat, Champagne, in Philadelphia.
No, the cat’s not a familiar. Just a tough orange tabby “who saw me as his ticket out of an SPCA cage.”
