A Packed Weekend – Don’t Forget Lupercalia
By Ellen Zucker | February 15, 2010
Lupercalia? Luper-what?
Just when I thought I had this weekend covered–OK I forgot to mention that today is President’s Day so, at least in the States, it is a three day weekend and that includes anything that occurs today.
I received The Tarot School’s excellent newsletter in my inbox just after completing today’s show on Blogtalk radio (Tarot afficionados, I recommend you subscribe if you haven’t already).
They brought Lupercalia to my attention. It’s a Roman, spring cleansing festival. They celebrated the gods release of health and fertility. The Romans let loose and felt free.
Now that Venus is approaching Jupiter, planet of luck and abundance, we, too, can enjoy the vibe and celebrate.
